| Selection of the correct profile of roofing iron is often
neglected and is the cause of many of the leaking problems Valley
Roofing encounter.
Bushfire regulations apply in some areas.
Corrugated - Suits higher pitches
A very popular profile which maintains the old style character of the
iron roof, it is economical, versatile and user friendly.
Its main limitation is its minimum pitch of 5 degrees (1 in 12). Less
than this invites leaking and can shorten its life.
Mid span 1200mm End span 900mm. Usually a minimum span of
900mm is used as this gives adequate support when sisalation is used.

Mini Flute - Decorative corrugated
Used for walls, ceilings and decorative applications, it also lends
itself well to bay windows and awning canopies complimenting the main
corrugated roof.
TL5 - Suits medium pitches
A useful roofing material when a 5 degree pitch is not obtainable as
TL5 is suitable for a minimum pitch of 2 degrees (1 in 30) and using
material of the same thickness as the corrugated example the minimum
spans are increased. Mid span 1700mm End span 1300mm. As the cost
is about the same as corrugated there is a significant saving as less
supports are required. (Sisalation support needs to be considered).

Decking Roofs
Because of their high rib profile decking roofs are suitable for
pitches as low as 1 degree, which makes them ideal for flat roof
additions and verandahs or carports where available height is limited
and avoiding the need for extra materials required in a conventional
roof. There are many types of decking available, but we recommend
Fielders King Klip which as a hidden clip system which eliminates the
need to pierce the roof with fasteners, thus eliminating potential
leaks. In the above examples material with a base metal
thickness of .42mm was used, a thicker material will give a greater
span, so this needs to be considered when making roofing material
selections.
