Natural light and fresh air make small spaces appear larger, large spaces more dramatic, and create rooms that reach for the sky!

Valley Roofing and Sheet Metal Services make their own skylights. They ensure that the skylights meet the bushfire regulations and that thieves cannot have easy access through the skylight.

Below are some of the special features of a Valley Roofing skylight.

Double Glazing: All skylights are available as double glazed units. Generally the outer acrylic dome is manufactured from a clear acrylic, with the inner dome being an opal colour.

Temperature Gain: The insulating effect of trapped air in the light shaft will ensure no significant increase in room temperature.

Feature: The still air trapped between the two layers of acrylic, creates an insulating barrier. Essentially the double glazed skylight is an insulation against heat loss or gain due to convection and conduction, it also acts as a barrier to external noises.

Light Shaft: Rectangular flexible ducting is used for the light shaft allowing the diffuser to be offset to avoid obstructions. This simplifies the installation process in many cases.

Valley Roofing offer a large variety of ceiling diffusers to choose from to exactly match your decor and your preferences.

 Glocell  (Vented, egg-crate)

Glocell is provided with ventilated skylights to allow full air flow.

Prismatic

Prismatic (unvented) - Myriads of clear acrylic prisms provide a soft diffused light over a wide area.

Opal acrylic and glass is also available. Tinted diffusers can be fitted during the summer months.

Cleaning Instructions

All of the skylight components are virtually maintenance free. The acrylic dome is designed to be self cleaning under normal circumstances. The ceiling diffusers will maintain maximum performance if cleaned periodically with warm soapy water, rinsed off and allowed to dry. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
